About

I’m G. Mitchell Saba, and I write stories that move fast, cut deep, and keep the light on. What you get are clean, accessible reads for teens and adults alike. Whatever the genre, literary thriller today, with historical fiction, action/adventure, and crime/mystery on the horizon, the cornerstones of my work never changes: Faith, Respect, Responsibility, and Love. I want every book to entertain you relentlessly and also invite you to grow.

I’ve been putting words together as long as I can remember. My first “epic,” The Two-Ton Mugger, was born in grade school; later came blog posts, short pieces, research papers, six technical publications in grad school, and one very painful grant. For years I doubted I could wrangle a whole novel without leaving loose ends. Then I made myself a promise: tell the story anyway, no fanfare, no announcements. I didn’t even tell my wife until page 200. The result is The Sanctuary Legacy, my first novel and a starting line, not a finish.

My background gave me binoculars on the world: a childhood surrounded by the backdrop of secrets, intrigue, police, organized crime, drugs and yet provided with a near perfect nostalgic “Mayberry” childhood framed in a small-town. You could say I grew up with a view behind the curtain, knowing things, regular people aren’t supposed to know and certainly wouldn’t believe. I came from a family of giants whose footsteps seemed impossible to follow.

I’m a farmer at heart, raising produce, chickens, and goats; a carpenter who builds sheds and furniture; a sculptor of wood and stone; and a lifelong martial artist who ran a nonprofit club for over thirty years. I like hard labor, heavy machinery, and quiet evenings with my family. My wife is the inspiration of my life. (Bonus party trick: I’m double-jointed; my kids say I’m psychic.)

Readers tell me my work is intriguing and impossible to put down, and I’m chasing the review every writer dreams of: “Best book I’ve ever read.” If you’d like to support the journey, please buy and read the books and please leave a review. I’m available for book clubs, library visits, festivals, and virtual conversations, travel and scheduling permitting.
