Side by Side in Christ: The Song

I’m officially adding “songwriter” to my bio today. My first written-and-produced song, “Side by Side in Christ,” was created as a surprise for our son’s wedding, and I’m honored to share it with you.

Why this song exists

This piece began as a family gift: a blessing set to music for our son and his spouse as they start their life together. The title says it plainly, walking forward, Side by Side in Christ.

I wrote the lyrics and melody, then produced the track with a little help from some friends who lent their talents and ears. The words draw on lessons my wife and I have learned through the joys and struggles of our own marriage. The result feels deeply personal: part celebration, part prayer, part promise. …
